Current update on progress of Follyfoot Rare Breeds Farm

Our White Park and Scottish Highland cattle have settled in well,  and we should have our Belted Galloways here in a few weeks.

We also have two coloured ewe lambs who are delightful.

Gretel our Anglo Nubian goat and her baby have arrived and we have our very tame white gander – Goosie   Goosie  Gander who will talk to the children and allow them to pet him

Our two resident hinnies – Heide and Heather and our two donkeys – Jasper and Leonardo are also here for you to see.  (Hinnies are a cross between a horse and a donkey (donkey mother and horse father – very rare)  These are different from mules who also are a cross between horse and donkey but bred the opposite way – horse mother donkey father – and are much easier to breed.

We have some rare and endangered sheep breeds and a large black pig (very rare – there are only around 60 sows of this breed left in Australia) on order and will update this site with their arrival.
